Kenya

Kenya is a country located in East Africa, bordered by Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, South Sudan to the northwest, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, and the Indian Ocean to the southeast. Its capital and largest city is Nairobi.

Kenya has a population of approximately 54 million people, with over 40 different ethnic groups. The official languages are English and Swahili, but there are numerous other languages spoken throughout the country.

Kenya has a diverse economy, with agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, and services being the main sectors. The country is known for its wildlife, including the “Big Five” game animals (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), and has several national parks and reserves.

Kenya has a rich cultural heritage, with traditional music, dance, and art being an important part of daily life. The Maasai people, known for their distinctive dress and customs, are one of the most well-known ethnic groups in Kenya.

Kenya gained independence from British colonial rule in 1963 and has since been a democratic republic. The current president is Dr. William Ruto, who has been in office since 2022.
